Sultan Suleyman the Magnificent was also called as “the Lawgiver”(Kanuni), as he deduced the best regular laws of the Ottoman history by using most limited legislation authority. He imposed more than 200 laws. The other reason for the name “Lawgiver” is Suleyman’s justice that he carried all the laws equally for all the Ottoman subjects.
