“Shahi” is the huge artillery that was designed by the command of Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror, before the conquest of Istanbul. The barrel of this artillery was 91.5 cm. The range of shahi was 1200 metres and it was 1596. 6 kilograms. The other huge artilleries used by the Ottoman Army were also named shahi.
