The KADI INSTITUTION
.
Kadi is the name given to the judge of Islam. He is the person who is charged to adjudicate the cases and the disputes according to the Canonical law of Islam.

The kadies were appointed by Veliy-ul-emr. With the reform movements, secular courts were established. Consequently, the judicial authority was separated into two, as; Islamic and secular courts. After the declaration of Republic; the Kadi system was completely a abolished and a secular judicial system was applied.
