The British had sent away the Governor
of Egypt Abbas Hilmi Pasha and began to sovereign in Egypt and Suez Canal. The Minister of Sea and the Commander of the 4th Army Cemal Pasha, on 14th January 1915 made an attack to Suez Canal but he failed and on 4th February 1915, he returned to Birusseba-Gazze. This attack was called as the First Canal War. In 1916, as the Second Canal Attack had been done, the Serif of Mecca Huseyin had been revolted against the Ottomans. |
