The British had sent away the Governor of Egypt Abbas Hilmi Pasha and began to sovereign in Egypt and Suez Canal.

The Minister of Sea and the Commander of the 4^th Army Cemal Pasha, on 14^th January 1915 made an attack to Suez Canal but he failed and on 4^th February 1915, he returned to Birusseba-Gazze. This attack was called as the First Canal War.

In 1916, as the Second Canal Attack had been done, the Serif of Mecca Huseyin had been revolted against the Ottomans.
