| “Enosis” means unity. It is a term, which is
used to reveal Greek desire to unite with Cyprus Island. Greeks and Cyprus Greeks accepted
Enosis. It was based on “Megalo Idea”. With an agreement signed in 1960, an independent Cyprus Republic was founded under the guarantee of Turkey, United Kingdom and Greece. Enosis contrasts with the international policies and laws. |
